Going forward, I can see more R&D based start-ups coming out of European universities, building off multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers and tackling some of the large challenges of our century like sustainability and health.

These businesses will likely be global from day one. Europe will then need to make sure to keep (and fund) this talent here, by creating the right incentives for the eco-system and adapting to the different requirements these businesses have in terms of funding and milestone expectations, new business models and talent.
